A gift to your family, sparing them hard decisions at an emotional time.
It is not always possible to pay respects in person, so we hope that this small token will help.
Offer a gift of comfort and beauty to a family suffering from loss.
Paying Final Respects with Dignity
At Haught Funeral Home we arrange different types of funerals to meet individual needs. The main focus should always be on the wishes of the deceased. If the deceased did not express any clear wish while he or she was alive, we recommend that the relatives and other loved ones ask themselves the following questions when choosing the type of funeral:
What type of funeral would fit the life and personality of the deceased?
What effects will it have on how the loved ones will deal with their grief and their memories of the deceased?
We will meet with you personally to discuss these concerns.
If you think that burial is the right choice for your family, there are some important decisions you must make. This page details the questions involved, offering support to families choosing burial.
Detailing the reasons why cremation is the preference of a growing number of families, this page also covers additional questions to ask once the cremation decision has been made.
Burial at Sea
In special types of funeral service following cremation, the urn is taken beyond the three-mile zone into open waters of the sea and the captain scatters the deceased's remains over the water.
Cremation may also precede an anonymous burial. The urn is buried in the presence of relatives in an anonymous urn burial site. There are no grave site maintenance services.
